10 Songs Perfect For Your Wedding Ceremony

Find Your Soundtrack

Choosing the music for your wedding ceremony can be a walk in the park for some, but finding songs that are both relatable, entertaining and suitable can often be tricky for a lot of us. Well if you’re the latter and struggle making those kind of decisions like me, you’ve come to the right place! Below are a list of songs I’ve discovered over the years which have always held a memorable place in mind. Most importantly, if you’re looking at having an acoustic solo singer perform during your ceremony these songs will translate beautifully into an acoustic guitar and vocal performance.

10. Jack Johnson - Better Together

Undoubtedly one of the most memorable songs to come out of the 2000’s. Beach bum Jack Johnson couldn’t be more relatable with his words in Better Together. A love song could not be more suitable for your ceremony.

9. Train - Marry Me

This beautiful song had been a hidden gem for me up until not long ago. Performed by the band that bought us Hey Soul Sister and Drive By, Train’s indigenous lyrics speak perfectly to the soon to be married couple. Possibly the perfect isle song? You tell me!

8. Lonestar - Amazed

An often overlooked song in the Wedding world by country band Lonestar. In my humble opinion, Amazed is a timeless classic and a perfect choice to accompany your ceremony!

7. James Arthur - Say You Won’t Let Go

X Factor legend James Arthur released his No. 1 hit Say You Won’t Let Go as the lead single from his second studio album Back From The Edge. Resonating widely among couples due to its relatable yet playful lyrics makes for another great consideration to accompany those special moments during your ceremony. Check out my cover below!

6. Gavin James - The Book Of Love

Originally written and performed by The Magnetic Fields but beautifully covered by Gavin James in recent years, The Book Of Love was almost written with the wedding ceremony in mind. Often referring to the clichés of love being boring and outdated, but in fact loves his partner dearly for indulging in those very things. A true love song which should be on anyone’s ceremony song list.

5. Bryan Adams - Heaven

The Summer of ‘69 rock legend Bryan Adams knocks his nostalgic love songs out of the park every time. Heaven needs no introduction...

4. Hudson Taylor - World Without You

Renowned for their strong brotherly harmonious vocals and homeland essence, Irish folk duo Hudson Taylor left us with their brilliant hit song World Without You in 2015. Being one of the most underrated bands of our time, this song is sure to give the soundtrack of your ceremony an interesting touch.

3. Christina Perri - A Thousand Years

One of the most popular wedding songs the world has been graced with. A Thousand Years portrays a couple’s unconditional love for each other. Check out this incredible cover by Boyce Avenue below!

2. Elvis Presley - Can’t Help Falling In Love

The king of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Mr Elvis Presley. One of my personal favourites and a timeless love song and a highly recommended ceremony song by myself.

1. Ed Sheeran - Tenerife Sea

Last but not least is Tenerife Sea by love song legend Ed Sheeran. A truly uplifting, relatable and personable song - One of the most suitable entrance songs.
